Purna Paskibra Indonesia (PPI) Kota Bandung held the Marching Skills Competition (LKBB) and Flag Raising Team Competition (Rukibra) as part of the Children’s Creativity Event (Angkasa) 2019 for junior high and high schools in the City of Bandung. The competition was held following the flag-raising ceremony in commemoration of the 74th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at the Plaza Balai Kota Bandung on Saturday (August 17). The event is part of a series of activities organized within the Bandung City Government.
The Flag Raising Team (Paspera) of SMP Juara Bandung sent one team consisting of 16 members, including three students from grade 8 and thirteen from grade 9. The team was commanded by Muthi’ah Iffa Karimah (Iffa). According to Iffa, the Angkasa 2019 LKBB was participated in by around 20 teams from junior high schools in Bandung, including SMPN 24, 28, 45, 10, and SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandung. This competition offered 32 permanent trophies, and the overall champion received a golden ticket to enter the final round at the West Java level.
At the Angkasa 2019 LKBB, the Paspera team from SMP Juara Bandung achieved 2nd place in the LKBB category. The winners were announced in the afternoon. The trophy presentation was conducted by the Head of the Youth and Sports Office of Bandung City, Eddy Marwoto, at the Plaza Balai Kota. The commander of the Paspera team, Iffa, felt happy and grateful to deliver the best results for the school. For her personally, this may be her last competition as she is now in grade 9. Additionally, according to Iffa, the training for this LKBB was short, lasting only a few days.
