One of the regular activities conducted once a week at SD Juara Cimahi is the market day activity. This activity is held every Friday. There is something different about the market day activity at SD Juara Cimahi this semester. In addition to being an activity aimed at training the etiquette of buying and selling in the manner of the Prophet and nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of the students, this activity also aims to enhance the social intelligence of the students at SD Juara Cimahi.
Social Intelligence is one of the abilities to be more empathetic and to sense the feelings of others. In this semester’s market day activity, students are encouraged to empathize with others by teaching them that in the wealth we possess, there are rights of others, so students must be accustomed to sharing. This applies to both sellers and buyers.
For sellers, they are required to share a minimum of 2.5% of the profit they earn from the market day activity. Meanwhile, for buyers, they are required to set aside a portion of their pocket money for sharing. This week’s “Juara Berbagi” activity, we collaborated with Rumah Zakat on the “Berbagi Bersama Yatim” (Sharing with Orphans Together) program. Alhamdulillah, this activity was greeted with enthusiasm by all students of SD Juara Cimahi. Even Aisha and Abyaz, 1st grade students, enthusiastically donated all the money they earned from selling for this “Juara Berbagi” activity. MashaAllah. And alhamdulillah, within one day, we were able to share Rp 634,500 for the program.
Alhamdulillah, the money was directly distributed to Rumah Zakat through Mr. Ahmad Safrudin, the officer from Rumah Zakat, on Monday, August 7, 2023, after the ceremony. Coinciding with the month of Muharram, which is one of the blessed months by Allah, hopefully, this “Juara Berbagi” activity can bring smiles of happiness to orphaned children across Indonesia. And hopefully, this activity will instill a love for sharing in the students of SD Juara Cimahi, and may Allah SWT always bless all of our activities. Barokallahu fiikum.
