“My command, take charge. Forward, march!” shouted Iffa, the Platoon Commander, leading the SMP Juara Bandung team into the competition arena. The LKBB Marching Competition (BISON) is a prestigious event for the PASPERA (Flag Raising Team) extracurricular. This marching competition, organized by SMPN 27 Bandung, brought together 30 teams from various schools across West Java.
Competing in the 13th position, PASPERA delivered a maximum performance. With 16 members, they appeared very united. Each movement was executed neatly and energetically. Fachira, the Chairperson of PASPERA, admitted to feeling quite tense before their performance, considering that they would face formidable teams from various regions. However, PASPERA was determined to showcase the best performance they had prepared well in advance.
The Marching Skills Competition held on Saturday, (April 30) offered various championship titles, including beginner, intermediate, advanced, and main categories. Alhamdulillah, the efforts of the SMP Juara Bandung team paid off. They managed to bring home a trophy with the title of 3rd Place in the Intermediate Category. “I’m happy to have been chosen to participate in the competition and win a trophy,” said Dela, a 7th-grade student from Al-Ghorizm, who was one of the three junior team members (7th grade) that successfully joined the senior team (8th grade).
This achievement is a bonus from their hard work after nearly a month of intensive training. May this always serve as motivation for the team and inspire other students as well.
