The Flag Raising Team (PASPERA) of SMP Juara Bandung once again presented a trophy for the school. This time, it was a special trophy that had long been awaited.
“2nd Place was won by SMP Juara Bandung.” Instantly, cheers of surprise and joy echoed from the SMP Juara Bandung team. Tears of emotion could not be held back after struggling through morning and afternoon practices, even staying overnight to participate in the marching competition for two consecutive days. Finally, this achievement was realized, a milestone that served as motivation and a remedy for all the exhaustion they had endured.
The competition, titled LKBB BEX Competition for SMP YWKA Bandung at the West Java level, was held on Sunday, (March 31) and was attended by thirty schools from various regions in West Java. SMP Juara Bandung sent one senior team, which was mostly made up of 8th-grade students.
The night before the competition, the SMP Juara contingent stayed at the competition venue and conducted a rehearsal on-site. “This trophy is a very special bonus for us. This time, we will dedicate this trophy to our coach and seniors,” said Fachira, the Chairperson of PASPERA.
Competing with the number 18, they managed to impress the judges and the audience. Making it into the top three was an achievement earned through a long period of time and effort. May this always serve as motivation for the team.
