For decades, the people of Palestine have faced oppression by the Israeli nation, ranging from land and home seizures to the blockade of Palestinians concentrated in Gaza. Arrests, torture, bombings, killings, and rapes have persisted, especially worsening in the days following Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7th. The suffering of the Palestinian people has intensified due to the Israeli assault, particularly with the cutting off of electricity, clean water, and food supplies.
In solidarity with fellow Muslims, students of SMP Juara Bandung, spearheaded by the OSIS of SMP Juara Bandung, organized a fundraising initiative to aid the people of Palestine. The fundraising took place from October 12th to October 20th, 2023, and the donations were channeled through Rumah Zakat. A total of Rp. 8,348,200 was collected.
May this assistance help alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and be accepted as a righteous deed by Allah SWT.
